Description

This final rule by the Department of Energy adds Thailand to the list of generally authorized destinations for exports of controlled nuclear technology and assistance under DOE's regulation on Assistance to Foreign Atomic Energy Activities. The rule is effective June 16, 2026, and aligns the regulatory appendix with a Secretarial Determination issued on April 13, 2026. The rule does not impose new burdens or duties and is intended to facilitate peaceful nuclear trade by ensuring exports are not used for non-peaceful purposes.
