Description
The County of Calaveras is seeking proposals from qualified contractors for the Lily Gap Vegetative Maintenance, Unit 1 project. This project involves maintaining a 156-acre shaded fuel break constructed in 2013 on Bureau of Land Management land by mastication of underbrush and ladder fuels that have regenerated over 13 years. The goal is to restore the fuel break's functionality by felling dead hazard trees, thinning and pruning overstocked saplings, and masticating hazardous fire fuels, brush, ladder fuels, slash, and logs. Proposals will be evaluated based on meeting the RFP requirements, insurance, licensing, and scoring criteria. The County reserves the right to cancel the solicitation at any time.
