Description

35 OSS based in Misawa AB, Japan, requires forty-nine (49) water purification systems. The Katadyn model, MROD-06-LL1-RES, is a lightweight water source solution that supports flying operations and is used as survival kits contained within the ejection seats. Its reliability is critical to pilot survival in times of emergency egress. IAW Technical Order (T.O.) 14S-3-51, Table 7.3, and a waiver provided by PACAF/A31, the Katadyn MROD is authorized for install and utilization in aircrew survival kits across PACAF.
