The acceptance of the contractor’s proposal constitutes a bilateral agreement to “issue” contractual documents as detailed herein. 1. SCOPE This contract/purchase order contains the requirements for manufacture of the COATING, POLYURETHAN. 2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS Applicable Documents - The document(s) listed below form part of this contract including modifications or exclusions. Documents, drawings, and publications supplied are listed under “Drawing Number”. These should be retained until award. “Document References” listed below must be obtained by the Contractor. Ordering info is included as an attachment. The “Document Changes” section provides supersessions/changes to referenced documents. Order of Precedence - In case of conflict, drawings take precedence over the text. Nothing supersedes applicable laws and regulations unless a specific exemption is obtained. REQUIREMENTS Manufacturing and Design - The COATING, POLYURETHAN shall meet the material and physical requirements specified on drawing 6831545-002, CAGE 53711 REV H. Marking - Unless specified otherwise, all items shall be marked according to MIL-STD-130 (Mechanical Parts, Assemblies, and Equipment), MIL-STD-1285 (Electrical and Electronic Parts), MIL-STD-454 (Electronic Equipment), and MIL-P-15024/5 (Electrical Equipment). Configuration Control - MIL-STD-973 is incorporated. All Engineering Change Proposals, Deviations, and Waivers shall be submitted accordingly. Shelf Life Requirement - Excerpts from DOD 4140.27-M specify that shelf-life items/material will have at least 85% of shelf-life remaining upon receipt by the first Government activity. Markings shall include dates of manufacture, cure, assembly, packing, and expiration, expressed in numeric month and last two digits of the year. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE Responsibility for Inspection - The Contractor is responsible for all inspection requirements unless otherwise specified. The Government reserves the right to perform inspections. Responsibility for Compliance - All items must meet all requirements. Inspection is part of the Contractor’s quality program. Records - All inspection records shall be kept complete and available for 365 days after final delivery. 5. PACKAGING Preservation, Packaging, Packing, and Marking shall follow the Contract Schedule and MIL-STD 2073. 6. Availability of Cancelled Documents - Cancelled documents required for contractual obligations are available in paper format.
