Description

The Agriculture Financial Services Corporation (AFSC) is seeking proposals from qualified professionals to conduct a strategic review and third-party assessment of the Livestock Price Insurance (LPI) program. LPI is a market-driven, voluntary, and producer-funded program that protects livestock producers from unpredictable downward price movements in the cash market for fed cattle, feeders, and calves. The review aims to examine trends in loss rates and participation, review administrative efficiency, assess long-term sustainability and producer behavior, and evaluate alignment of the program design with future directions. This assessment will inform the future direction of the program and support the development of Multilateral Agreements.
