NIWC Pacific is initiating a major construction contracting opportunity for facility projects in the San Diego Metro area. - Government Buyer: - Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific - Locations include Naval Base San Diego (NBSD), Naval Base Point Loma (NBPL), and other NIWC Pacific areas of responsibility - Scope of Work: - Design-build and construction-only services - Covers new construction, repair, and renovation - Facility types: administration buildings, wet and dry laboratories, maintenance and repair facilities, office buildings, and similar structures - Contract Structure: - Firm-Fixed Price (FFP), Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Multiple Award Construction Contract (MACC) - Set aside for small businesses - Notable Requirements: - Submission of Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) with offers - No specific OEMs, vendors, or product part numbers are identified in the solicitation

Description

The acquisition will result in a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP), Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Multiple Award Construction Contract (MACC) that will provide Design-Build (DB) or construction only for new construction, repair, and/or renovation of commercial and institutional buildings. Types of construction projects may include, but are not limited to administration buildings, wet and dry laboratories, maintenance/repair facilities, office buildings, and other similar facilities at various government facilities San Diego Metro area including Naval Base San Diego (NBSD), Naval Base Point Loma (NBPL) and ALL other Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific areas of responsibility. The contract will be procured using negotiated procedures, as it has been determined in accordance with FAR 6.203 to be the most appropriate method of procuring the subject solicitation.
