NASA Stennis Space Center is seeking to procure an ambient pressure build vaporizer for converting liquid methane to gaseous methane for facility test operations. - Sole source procurement is intended for ACME CRYOGENICS, INC, with Model PBA20SS-29.4/1 specified. - Technical requirements include: - 27,000 SCFH flow capacity - 600 psig maximum pressure - 304 stainless steel wetted materials - Oxygen-service cleaning per CP010102 Rev 5 - 1.5-inch ASME class 150 inlet flange, 4-inch ASME class 150 outlet flange - Approximate dimensions: 94 in wide x 377 in deep x 65 in tall - Approximate clean weight: 2,016 lbs; iced weight: 11,781 lbs - Delivery required within 14 to 16 weeks after order placement - Warranty covers defects for one year from installation or 18 months from shipment - Documentation including fabrication drawings and certifications must be provided - NAICS code: 333415 - NASA invites capability statements from other vendors, but intends to award to ACME CRYOGENICS, INC unless a suitable alternative is identified

Synopsis:

NASA/NSSC has a requirement for LNG Vaporizor/Model PBA20SS-29.4/1. 

NASA/NSSC intends to issue a sole source contract to ACME CRYOGENICS, INC 2801 Mitchell AVE  Allentown, Pennsylvania 18103, United States   under the authority of FAR 12.102(a). It has been determined that ACME CRYOGENICS, INC  is the sole provider of LNG Vaporizor/Model PBA20SS-29.4/1

NASA/NSSC will be the procuring center for this effort. Performance will be located at NASA/ Stennis Space Center (SSC).

The Government intends to acquire Commercial items or services using the provisions, clauses and procedures prescribed in FAR Part 12 for Commercial

The NAICS Code for this procurement is 333415.

Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 12:00 p.m. Central Standard Time on 6/18/2026. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
