The University of South Carolina Upstate is seeking construction services to upgrade the soccer field lighting system at its Spartanburg campus. - Government Buyer: - University of South Carolina (USC Upstate), Facilities Services, Division of Administration and Finance - OEMs and Vendors: - Musco Lighting, Inc. (specified manufacturer for LED lighting system and controls) - Products/Services Requested: - Removal of four existing 80-foot galvanized steel lighting poles and foundations - Installation of four new 80-foot galvanized steel poles and concrete foundations - Reinstallation of 32 existing Musco TLC-LED-1500 fixtures and installation of 14 new Musco TLC-RGBW fixtures - Installation of Musco driver cabinets and new control/monitoring cabinets - New transformers (e.g., Hammond #C1F002CES or equal), circuit breakers, surge protection devices, and related electrical equipment - Complete LED lighting assemblies (luminaires, drivers, reflectors, lenses, housings, accessories) - Remote on/off lighting control system with TCP/IP communication, scheduling, monitoring, and special effects capabilities for 10 years - Demolition, site restoration, and landscaping - Electrical and structural engineering services for foundation design and code compliance - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Lighting system must meet NCAA intercollegiate play standards for illumination, uniformity, and environmental light control - 10-year warranty and maintenance monitoring period for the lighting system, covering parts, labor, and communication costs - Coordination with Duke/Progress Energy for power utility needs - Bid security (minimum 5% of base bid) and 100% performance/payment bonds required - Encouragement of small and minority business participation - Compliance with all relevant codes and standards - Pre-bid conference scheduled at the project site
