The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District, is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive weed and pest control services at Lake Isabella Dams and Headquarters in Kern County, California. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District (Isabella Resident Engineer DIS SAC) - Primary contact: La Chad Jefferson - Scope of Services: - Weed control: Post-emergent and pre-emergent chemical treatments across approximately 36.1 acres at Lake Isabella Dam, Auxiliary Dam, Emergency Spillway, Headquarters, and Storage Yard - Pest control: Monthly treatments inside buildings totaling approximately 17,700 sqft (Administration Building, Storage Shed, Maintenance Shop, Control Tower) - Contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, permits, and licenses - Minimum 90% effectiveness rate required for weed control - Monthly invoicing and quality assurance inspections - Products/Services Requested: - Ten line items for post-emergent and pre-emergent treatments at five locations (one of each per location) - Twelve monthly pest control treatments per year - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Contract includes a base year plus four option years (up to five years total) - Firm fixed-price jobs for each treatment area and monthly pest control - Compliance with safety and security requirements - All work must adhere to the Performance Work Statement (PWS) - No specific OEMs, vendors, or part numbers are identified in the solicitation or attachments.

Description

Lake Isabella Dams and Headquarters – Weed and Pest Control

The Government anticipates issuing a Request for Quote (RFQ) with the intent of awarding a base year and four option years for Lake Isabella Dams – Weed and Pest Control. 

Project Description: The contractor shall provide weed and pest control services at Isabella Dam and Headquarters to maintain the area’s ecological health, protect infrastructure, and ensure public safety. The contractor will provide all necessary labor, equipment, materials, and supervision to perform vegetation management and pest control across designated areas, including Isabella Dam, Isabella Aux Dam, Isabella Emergency Spillway, Storage Yard and Headquarters.

This prospective contract action will be conducted using NAICS Code is 561730 – Landscaping Services. The size standard is $9,500,000.00.  Product Service Code is S207- Housekeeping – Insect/Rodent Control

The solicitation will proceed as a 100% small business set-aside and is estimated to be issued on or about 6/11/2026 with quotes due tentatively on 7/14/2026.  The RFQ will be issued on the Government Point of Entry known as www.SAM.gov and will establish a firm quote due date/time.
