The City of Denton, through Denton Municipal Electric (DME), is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to supply a range of steel, concrete, and aggregate/composite street light poles and associated components for municipal use. - Government Buyer: - City of Denton (Purchasing Office), with Denton Municipal Electric (DME) as the sub-agency - Products and Quantities: - Steel street light poles (embedded and breakaway, single and dual arm, 35 ft): approx. 100 units per type - Residential steel poles (20 ft, pole top mount): approx. 100 units - Bridge lighting steel poles (35 ft, breakaway): approx. 100 units - Concrete street light poles (35 ft, smooth white finish): approx. 50 units - Decorative/exposed aggregate concrete poles (20 ft, Waterford Series): approx. 50 units - Pre-fabricated concrete bases: approx. 100 units - Mounting arms (single and dual), breakaway base systems (e.g., ATB1-17 or approved equal), ground sleeves, couplings, handholes, covers, and all necessary hardware - OEMs and Compatibility: - No specific OEMs are mandated, but products must be compatible with luminaires such as Gardco Optiform, Signify Lumec, and Hadco - Notable Requirements: - All steel poles must be galvanized, powder coated, and color matched to RAL 7043 Traffic Gray; concrete poles must be white or San Jacinto Brown - Poles must meet wind load ratings (90–140 MPH) and AASHTO compliance for breakaway systems - Minimum 10-year warranty required on all products - Vendors must provide shop drawings, product data, compliance documentation, and references - Delivery to designated City or DME sites is required; installation is not included - Vendors must demonstrate experience with municipal/utility projects and offer innovative, cost-effective solutions - Contract Details: - Initial term of one year, with up to four one-year renewal options and a possible six-month extension - Firm pricing for the first year, with limited escalation in subsequent years
