Description

The Government of Canada, through the National Capital Commission (NCC), is seeking proposals for the rehabilitation of the New Orchard Twin Bridge. The project aims to extend the lifespan of the bridges by at least 30 years. The scope includes partial depth concrete removals and repairs on abutments, wing walls, bearing seats, soffits, fascia, deck, and deck ends; removal and replacement of concrete curbs, sidewalks, and curtain walls; removal of existing railings and installation of new crash-tested railings; replacement of waterproofing systems and asphalt pavements; replacement of bearings; replacement of approach slabs; and repair of flagstone slope protection. The contract duration is 12 months starting from July 27, 2026.
