The City of Danville, through its Community Development and Purchasing Department, is seeking a vendor to lead a comprehensive citywide strategic planning initiative. - Government Buyer: - City of Danville, Community Development, Purchasing Department - Scope of Work: - Develop a 35-year citywide strategic plan - Create 16 departmental action plans aligned with City Council priorities and PLAN Danville - Facilitate at least three in-person community engagement events (in English and Spanish) - Develop a practical tracking system for monitoring progress - Support plan rollout with at least five events and provide tactical support to city staff - Facilitate a planning committee and apply city branding standards - Prepare advertisements and informational materials - Provide periodic updates and revisions to vision and action plans - Additional Services: - Conduct a city employee engagement survey (in coordination with a separate contract) - Conduct a statistically valid resident satisfaction survey (baseline and every three years) - Lead participatory qualitative research with local single parents and/or foster youth to inform poverty reduction strategies - Unique/Notable Requirements: - All deliverables must comply with IT accessibility standards (Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 Level AA) - Vendors must submit a Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT/ACR) and an accessibility roadmap - Community engagement must be accessible and inclusive - No specific OEMs or commercial vendors are named in the solicitation - Project completion is expected within 3-5 years, with a target end date by the end of 2028; alternative timelines may be proposed
