The City of Rosemead Public Works Department is seeking bids for its FY 25-26 Annual Pavement Rehabilitation Project, covering multiple city streets, alleyways, and parking lots. - Government Buyer: - City of Rosemead Public Works Department, Engineering Division - Project Scope: - Cold-milling and overlay of approximately 780,000 sq ft of existing asphalt concrete roadway and 58,000 sq ft of alleyway pavement - Full-depth localized asphalt repairs (3,300 sq ft on roadways, 720 sq ft in alleyways) - Application of 663,000 sq ft of quick set emulsion aggregate slurry Type II (cationic) with 2% latex additive - Adjustment of 240 manhole covers and 215 water/gas valves to grade (plus additional adjustments in alleyways) - Removal and replacement of 1,160 pavement markings and raised pavement markers (plus 40 in alleyways) - Replacement of 15 traffic loops - Concrete improvements: curb, gutter, sidewalk, ADA curb ramps, driveway slabs, and roadway panels - Tree removals (up to 25), installations (up to 25), and arborist coordination - Parking lot improvements at Garvey Center and Zapopan Park, including localized AC repair, curb and swale replacement, and striping - Installation of midblock crosswalk and new traffic signage at Willard Avenue - Products/Materials Requested: - Asphalt concrete, quick set emulsion aggregate slurry, raised pavement markers, pavement striping materials, concrete for various applications, 24-inch box trees - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Completion required within 40 working days; $500 per day liquidated damages for delays - Certified arborist involvement for tree-related work - Compliance with ADA standards for curb ramps and crosswalks - No specific OEMs or proprietary products are named; materials must meet city and Caltrans standards - No OEMs are specified; the opportunity is open to qualified contractors with relevant experience.

Description

This project involves cold-milling and overlaying existing asphalt concrete roadway and alleyway pavements. It includes constructing quick set emulsion aggregate slurry with latex additive, adjusting various utility covers to grade, and concrete improvements such as removal and replacement of broken curb and gutter and roadway spandrels. Additional work includes removal and replacement of raised pavement markers, roadway striping, and parking lot improvements at Garvey Center and Zapopan Park. The project requires completion within 40 working days and includes liquidated damages of $500 per calendar day for delays.
