James City County is soliciting proposals for a group medical and prescription drug plan for full-time employees and pre-65 retirees. The program is self-insured and currently includes two medical options with prescription drug coverage and reinsurance protection, administered by Sentara Health Plans. Dental coverage is provided by Delta Dental of Virginia with three plan options: two PPO options and an Exclusive Provider Option (EPO). The County reserves the right to award contracts for medical, prescription drug, and HSA administration separately to different offerors. Proposals may be submitted for various combinations of services and must be quoted net of commissions.
