Description

The State of Hawaii's Division of Forestry and Wildlife (DOFAW) is seeking bids for constructing an ungulate-proof fence at the Manuk Natural Area Reserve (NAR) on Hawaii Island. The project includes approximately 3.55 miles of fencing, with about 3 miles of new fence construction and 0.55 miles of fence replacement and updates. The work also involves clearing the fence corridor and fabricating and installing step-over and step-through gates. Bidders must be licensed contractors familiar with remote fence installation in rough lava terrain and have relevant project experience in Hawaii. Offers must be submitted through the HIePRO system by July 15, 2026.
