Redwood City is seeking a managed cybersecurity operations partner to provide comprehensive, turnkey security services for its IT environment. - Government Buyer: - City of Redwood City, Information Technology Department - Scope of Services: - Fully managed cybersecurity operations, acting as an extension of the City's IT team - 24/7/365 Security Operations Center (SOC) monitoring, detection, triage, investigation, and escalation - Digital forensics and incident response support - Notification workflow support, monthly reporting, executive briefings, and program assessment - Coverage for endpoints, servers, identity systems, Microsoft 365, email, firewall/VPN/DNS, network logs, cloud, and SaaS applications - Contractor must provide, license, deploy, operate, and maintain all necessary tools, agents, sensors, dashboards, log storage, threat intelligence, and workflow solutions - Log retention, onboarding, coverage validation, training, transition from interim services, and exit assistance included - Optional operational support extensions: remote monitoring and management, patch assessment, asset inventory, scripting, and remediation automation - Environment Details: - Approximately 893 users and 1,000 endpoints (Windows, macOS, Linux) - Unique Requirements: - Contractor must support a municipal environment with limited internal cybersecurity staff - City retains approval rights over tool deployment, system changes, response authority, data access, and communications - Any required tool, license, or third-party service not included in the base fee must be clearly identified as an exception - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation

Description

The City of Redwood City is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide managed cybersecurity operations, monitoring, digital forensics, incident response, and notification support services. The service includes a turnkey, 24×7×365 managed security operations capability covering the City's endpoints, servers, identity systems, Microsoft 365 environment, email, network, cloud, and SaaS applications.
