Description
The Ministry of Health is seeking a highly specialized Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide technical and clinical leadership for five core Health Information Standards objectives. These include maintaining terminology and concept standards, advancing information and structural standards, enabling a sustainable standards service model, promoting vendor and clinical adoption, and strengthening data quality through consistent governance. The SME will have deep expertise in SNOMED CT, LOINC, and HL7 standards (including FHIR, V2, and CDA) to support delivery, sustainability, and operationalization of Health Information Standards. The role focuses on resolving complex implementation challenges, supporting sector-wide adoption of standards, and ensuring alignment with the Provincial Data Plan and pan-Canadian interoperability initiatives.
