This opportunity is for a five-year contract to provide roof repairs and maintenance services for the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) at its Headquarters in Travis County and Training Facility in Williamson County. - Government Buyer: - Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), Austin Headquarters Complex - Scope of Work: - Emergency and preventative maintenance repairs to roof fields, flashings, vent stacks, copings, parapets, and other waterproofing structures - Services include: - Base flashing repair (resealing seams, mechanical reattachment, caulking, recoating) - Caulk removal and replacement (polyurethane or compatible caulk for masonry, metal, glass) - Hot applied asphalt/coal tar pitch repairs (including ballast removal/replacement) - Expansion joint replacement (bellows type) - Pitch pan repair/refilling (for low slope roof penetrations) - Vent stack replacement (both under and over 8" diameter) - Composition shingle tie-in waterproof replacement (by bundle, with 30 lb. felt base sheet) - General emergency and preventative maintenance repairs - Requirements: - Contractors must provide all labor, materials, and equipment for turnkey performance - Mandatory site visits and compliance with pandemic protocols - Minimum three years of commercial roofing experience for workers - Two-year warranty on labor and workmanship - All materials must be industry standard and compatible with existing roofing - Compliance with wage rates, background checks, insurance, bonds, and safety/health standards - Mandatory pricing schedule submission - Minor emergency callback service required (30-minute response during regular hours, 1 hour during overtime) - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; bidders must supply compatible materials meeting industry standards - The contract may be extended for up to six months if necessary
