This opportunity is for the supply, installation, and ongoing maintenance of a vehicle and cargo x-ray inspection system at Dover Air Force Base's Commercial Vehicle Inspection Gate. - The requirement includes: - One multi-view (top, left, right) x-ray imaging system for scanning various vehicle types - Must operate outdoors in extreme temperatures (-22°F to 140°F) - Uses low-dose, non-radioactive x-ray technology - Meets ANSI N43.17 and FDA CDRH safety standards - Capable of scanning at least 120 cars/hour and 80 trucks/hour - Includes 5 x 21-inch LCD monitors, image analysis software, local database, and printer - System installation and setup by the contractor - Initial on-site training for up to nine operators, plus annual train-the-trainer sessions - Maintenance services: - Six scheduled preventive maintenance visits per year - 24/7 corrective maintenance support (phone response within 24 hours, on-site within 72 hours) - Use of OEM or equivalent parts for repairs - The contract includes a one-year warranty on equipment and installation - Rapiscan Systems Inc. is identified as the sole source OEM for the Z-Portal system, but the technical requirements could allow for competition from other qualified x-ray system manufacturers - Interested parties may submit evidence of their capability to meet the requirements - The opportunity includes both product delivery and ongoing service/maintenance components
Description
The 436th Contracting Squadron intends to issue a direct award to Rapiscan Systems Inc; 2805 Columbia St Torrance, California 90503-3804, United States (SAM UEI: UCDDUN6A6S17) for the Z-Portal Maintenance requirement.
The Government intends to procure from only one source under the authority of Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) 6.103-1(b), only one responsible source.
