The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Geology, Energy & Minerals Science Center is seeking contractor support for washing and geochemical measurement services on well cuttings from the East Mikkelsen Bay 1 exploration well. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) - Geology, Energy & Minerals Science Center (GEMSC) - Services Requested: - Washing and solvent cleaning of 248 geological cuttings samples to remove drilling mud and oil contamination - Geochemical analyses on approximately 30 pilot samples, including: - Total Organic Carbon (TOC) measurement using a carbon analyzer - Carbon isotope ratio analysis using isotope ratio mass spectrometer (EAIRMS) - Delivery of a comprehensive data package with analytical results, QA/QC documentation, methods, and sample mass records - Products/Line Items: - 248 cuttings samples to be washed and prepared - 30 pilot samples for geochemical measurements - Unique Requirements: - Accuracy specifications for TOC and isotope analyses - All work must be completed within a 6-month period after order receipt - Mandatory registration and active status in SAM under NAICS 541380 (Testing Laboratories and Services) - No specific OEMs or commercial vendors are named; services are open to qualified small businesses

The U.S. Geological Survey Geology, Energy & Minerals Science Center requires services for washing and geochemical measurements of well cuttings.
