Lowndes County Board of Commissioners, through its Engineering Division, is seeking bids for a comprehensive road resurfacing project under the ENG 2026 LMIG LRA: 2026 Resurfacing initiative. - Government Buyer: - Lowndes County Board of Commissioners, Engineering Division, Engineering Department - Project Scope: - Resurfacing multiple roads within Lowndes County, Georgia - Includes grading, asphalt leveling and topping, bituminous tack coat, milling, shoulder grading, permanent grassing, traffic striping, rumble strips, stop bars, raised pavement markers, and traffic control - Products and Quantities: - 4,345 tons of asphalt leveling course (80 lbs OGI) - 8,962 tons of recycled asphalt topping (165 lbs 12.5 mm Superpave) - 9,875 gallons of bituminous tack coat - 1,200 square yards of asphalt milling (1.5 inch depth) - 7.46 miles of grading - 7.23 miles of permanent grassing (including mulch) - 78,778 linear feet each of temporary 4-inch white and yellow traffic stripes - 78,778 linear feet of high build 5-inch white traffic stripe - 39,389 linear feet of high build 5-inch yellow traffic stripe - 276 linear feet of 24-inch white thermoplastic stop bar - 58 linear feet of thermoplastic traffic striping (white) - 50 linear feet of thermoplastic traffic striping (yellow) - 928 raised pavement markers (Type 1, 2, or 3) - 1 set of 3 asphalt rumble strips - 1 water valve box adjustment - 1 traffic control package - 1 contingency amount - Notable Requirements: - Bidders must be DOT-approved contractors - 5% bid bond required - Liquidated damages of $500 per day for delays - All labor, materials, and equipment must be provided by the contractor - Mandatory compliance with E-Verify for contractor affidavits - No specific OEMs or product brands are specified; materials must meet DOT standards - The contract duration is 180 calendar days from notice to proceed, with final completion within 30 days after punch list resolution

Lowndes County is accepting bids for the ENG 2026 LMIG LRA: 2026 Resurfacing project. The contract time is 180 calendar days. Bidders must be DOT approved contractors and a 5% bid bond is required. There will be a mandatory pre-bid meeting on July 9, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. in the Engineering Conference Room on the 2nd floor of the Lowndes County Administration Building. Sealed proposals will be received until July 30, 2026, at 10:00 A.M., at the same location, where bids will be publicly opened and read.
