Miami University is seeking a contractor to install and integrate a new Cummins 1MW diesel generator at its Main Steam Plant in Oxford, Ohio. - Government Buyer: - Miami University Physical Facilities Department (Oxford Campus) - OEMs and Vendors: - Cummins (specified as the Original Equipment Manufacturer for the generator) - Products/Services Requested: - Cummins 1MW (1000 kW) diesel generator set, model 1000DQFAD, with PowerCommand 3.3 control system - Includes 2000-gallon UL142 compliant subbase fuel tank (part number C252-2) - Battery charger (B786-2), four 12VDC engine starting batteries (BE MT34-2), annunciator panel (A045J201), circuit breaker (RLF36160U33F), ground fault indication relay (H723-2), coolant heater (0333-0632-02) - Installation and integration services: site prep, receiving, rigging, offloading, setting generator, reconnecting all power wiring, controls, fuel lines, and internal power panels - Startup and testing services for the generator and associated equipment - Three alternate bids for replacement of electrical feeders and panelboard feeders - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Cummins is the only specified OEM for the generator; Miami University has pre-purchased the generator, contractor is responsible for installation and integration - Compliance with Ohio prevailing wage rates and EDGE participation goals (5%) - Strict adherence to Ohio Facilities Construction Commission standards, domestic steel requirements, and drug-free workplace program - Coordination with university staff and compliance with detailed technical specifications, safety, and environmental regulations - Allowance for unforeseen control modifications during startup and commissioning - All removed feeders to be turned over to the owner for scrap

This solicitation is for the replacement of an existing standby generator at Miami University's Main Steam Plant located at 771 Western College Drive, Oxford, Ohio. The project involves preparing the site, receiving, rigging, offloading, and setting a new Cummins 1MW generator onto the prepared pad, reconnecting all power wiring, controls, fuel lines, and internal power panels. The scope includes allowances for unforeseen control modifications during startup and commissioning. There are three alternate bids required related to replacement feeders and panelboard feeders as detailed in the bid documents. Prevailing wage rates for Butler County apply.
