Description
These specifications are for the furnishing of all labor, equipment, supplies, materials, transportation, and licenses necessary to perform herbicide application services in specified area of the U.S Army Corps of Engineers Bluestone Dam Property along River Road. River Road is situated in both West Virginia and Virginia and follows the New River for much of its length. The purpose of this contract is to control woody vegetation, invasive plant species, and overhanging brush growth within roadside ditch lines and adjacent treatment zones to improve drainage, visibility, roadway maintenance access, mowing efficiency, and overall property management. River Road is approximately 5 miles in total length, with portions located in West Virginia and Virginia. Much of the roadway runs adjacent to the New River and associated drainage features; therefore, environmental consideration and protection of water resources shall be a primary consideration in all treatment activities.
