Description
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is proposing to renew an information collection related to voluntary prelisting conservation actions under the Endangered Species Act. The policy encourages voluntary conservation actions for species prior to listing, providing incentives and credit for such actions to mitigate future detrimental effects. States participating in the program collect and report information annually on conservation actions taken by landowners, businesses, and governments. The information collected includes descriptions of actions, locations, entities involved, frequency, and any transfer of mitigation rights.
