Description
Maintenance Dredging, Morehead City Inner Harbor. The work includes maintenance dredging of the Morehead City Harbor federal navigation channel reaches including the non-beach compatible section of Range C, East Leg, West Leg, and Northwest Leg. The work will consist of removal and placement of shoaled material that has accumulated in the channels since the various areas were last dredged. The work will be completed via mechanical or hydraulic dredge. Dredging depths range from 35? plus 2? of allowable overdepth to 45? plus 2? of allowable overdepth. The estimated quantity of material to be dredged is 331,000 cubic yards. The Government furnished placement area for the dredged material is the ODMDS placement area. The barges taking material offshore shall be ocean certified. The environmental window for mechanical dredging in the Northwest leg, West Leg, East Leg, and Range C of the Inner Harbor is August 1 ? March 31. No scow overflow is permitted in the West or Northwest Legs.
