Description

The RHJVAMC Gastroenterology Section currently uses FibroScan devices to noninvasively collect measurements on liver stiffness and fat content. These results are crucial to identifying and managing Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD). The proprietary Vibration Controlled Transient Elastography (VCTE), and Controlled Attenuation Parameter (CAP), technologies of the FibroScan immensely reduce time, costs, patient discomfort, and operator error in measuring liver disease metrics.
