This opportunity seeks contractor support for a major upgrade of fiber optic and radio communication systems at Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM), led by the U.S. Army's 627th Communications Squadron. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Army, Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM), 627th Communications Squadron (627 CS) - OEMs and Vendors: - TC Communications (JumboSwitch radio system channel banks) - Tripp Lite (UPS units) - Products and Quantities: - Single-mode fiber optic cables: 12, 36, 72, 96, and 144 strand OSP/ISP cables (quantities vary by site) - 144-port fiber patch panels with LC connectors: 2 units - 24-port fiber patch panels with LC connectors: 5 units - 12-port fiber patch panels with LC connectors: 6 units - 42U seismic-certified rack enclosures: 3 units - NEMA-4 steel or aluminum boxes: 3 units (for weatherproofing and protection) - TC Communications JumboSwitch systems: 6 units (with dual AC power supplies, combo cards, SFP modules, analog cards, and TC View management system) - Tripp Lite UPS units (SMART2200RM2U and SMART3000RM2U): 6 units - Fiber optic patch cords (duplex SM LC-LC and LC-SC): various lengths as needed - Flexible innerduct (smurf tube): various lengths as needed - Services Requested: - Engineering, furnishing, installation, and testing (EFI&T) of all fiber optic and radio system components - Site surveys, design drawings, cable testing, fusion splicing, labeling, and sealing of ducts - Programming and configuration of JumboSwitch systems, including self-healing ring setup and TC View integration - Operational hands-on training for 5 government personnel on TC Communications equipment and management software - Unique/Notable Requirements: - All equipment and installation must comply with military and industry standards - Seismic-certified racks required for critical infrastructure - Detailed documentation, as-built drawings, and test plans required - One-year warranty on all equipment and installation - Strict completion timeline (120 days from award)
