Description

The Ministry of Health is seeking a highly specialized Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide technical and clinical leadership in support of five core Health Information Standards objectives. The SME will focus on maintaining terminology and concept standards, advancing information and structural standards, enabling a sustainable standards service model, promoting vendor and clinical adoption, and strengthening data quality through consistent governance. Expertise in SNOMED CT, LOINC, and HL7 standards (including FHIR, V2, and CDA) is required to support delivery, sustainability, and operationalization of Health Information Standards. The role involves resolving complex implementation challenges, supporting sector-wide adoption of standards, and ensuring alignment with the Provincial Data Plan and pan-Canadian interoperability initiatives.
