This opportunity involves the complete overhaul and modernization of the elevator system in Building 4224 at Fleet Readiness Center East (FRCE), Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina, managed by the Department of the Navy's Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Mid-Atlantic. - Government Buyer: - Department of the Navy, Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Mid-Atlantic, Cherry Point Station - Scope of Work: - Complete replacement of the existing hydraulic freight elevator, including car, machine room equipment, hydraulic jack, controllers, rails, guides, supports, hoistway doors, sills, and hall stations - Demolition of the existing elevator and associated structure - Installation of new fire protection systems: fire alarm panel, tamper switch, waterflow switch, smoke detectors, and wet pipe sprinkler systems - Replacement of the elevator pit sump pump with an oil-detecting sump pump (1/2 HP, 208V, 2" FNPT, 50 GPM @ 20 FT/HD) - HVAC upgrades: new ductless split air handler, wall-mounted thermostat, and ductless split heat pump unit - Electrical system modifications: new disconnect switch with shunt trip, new transformer, new lighting fixtures (LED strip fixtures), new data outlet, and new/replacement electrical panels - Building telecommunications cabling system installation and coordination with NMCI contractor - Construction waste management, lead remediation, deconstruction, and building commissioning - Products/Services Requested: - 1 hydraulic freight elevator (full system) - 1 oil-detecting sump pump - 1 ductless split air handler - 1 wall-mounted thermostat - 1 ductless split heat pump unit - 2 LED gasketted strip lighting fixtures (NL-22) - 2 LED strip lighting fixtures (NL-23) - Fire alarm and sprinkler system components - Steel doors, frames, insulation, and other construction materials - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Coordination with NMCI contractor for telecommunications infrastructure - Salvaged materials must be delivered to a government-designated storage area within 10 miles - Disconnect switch for elevator must have shunt trip capability and comply with NEC 620.5.52 - All work must be completed within 300 calendar days after award - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation or attachments; elevator and system components must meet detailed technical and regulatory specifications.
