The 56th Contracting Squadron of the Air Education and Training Command (Department of the Air Force) is seeking sources for an immersive force-on-force training system to enhance realistic training for personnel. - Government Buyer: - Department of the Air Force, Air Education and Training Command, 56th Contracting Squadron - Products/Systems Requested: - 40 torso-worn sensory feedback vests with belts and transmitters - 40 side panel sensor expansions for 360-degree detection - 40 headwear units with integrated sensors (e.g., ball cap style) - 5 ruggedized multi-unit transport cases (each holds at least 8 vests) - 40 pistol blank-fire laser emitter conversion kits (for striker-fired pistols, e.g., Sig Sauer P320) - 40 dual laser blank-fire kits (Precision and Close Quarters Training modes) - 1 simulated gunshot audio device (realistic, high-volume, pairable) - 40 rifle blank-fire laser emitter conversion kits (for M4/M16 pattern rifles, with safety features) - 40 precision laser mounts for long guns - 2 hand-held manual laser activators (for system checks and scenario control) - 2 USB video recording systems (for after-action review) - 8 multi-port USB charging hubs (minimum 10 ports each) - 7 cases of 9mm system-compatible blank ammunition (~1,000 rounds/case) - 7 cases of 5.56mm system-compatible blank ammunition (~900 rounds/case) - 1 extended warranty (2 years beyond standard, parts and labor) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - All wearable components must provide safe, localized sensory feedback and be durable for repeated use - Conversion kits must ensure safe blank firing and prevent live ammunition loading - System must support realistic audio and video capture for training and review - Extended warranty coverage is required - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the requirements - Quantities and technical characteristics are clearly defined for each component

SUBJECT: Sources Sought for an Immersive Force-on-Force Training System.
This is a Sources Sought notice only. This Sources Sought is issued for the purpose of market research.
The 56th Contracting Squadron seeks market information from qualified, experienced and interested vendors who can supply the items outlined below and in the attached Salient Characteristics for an Immersive Force-on-Force Training System.
Request interested firms respond to the following:
Identify your firm’s information (name, address, phone number, CAGE code). Identify if your company is a large or small business. If applicable, identify what small business program(s) (i.e. SBA Certified 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran Owned, HUBZone, etc.) your company is certified as. Any other comments, feedback or response on how to improve this requirement is highly encouraged. The Government wants to ensure transparency of this process and ensure interested firms are provided with the same information. If your firm has a question regarding this Sources Sought, can the Government post your firm’s questions, along with the Government’s response, in FedBizOpps, GSA, etc. (your firm’s name will not be disclosed to the public)?
