Description
The Escambia County Board of County Commissioners is seeking qualifications from professional architectural and engineering firms to provide professional design and limited construction administration services for a new, energy-efficient, and resilient transit facility. The project includes the design and construction of a new ECAT complex at 100 Clarinda Lane, Pensacola, Florida, featuring an Administration Building, Bus Wash, Fuel Depot, and Maintenance Building. The facility will meet Enhanced Hurricane Protection Area (EHPA) specifications, serve as an emergency shelter, and include flood mitigation features such as a regional stormwater pond. Funding is provided through the 2024 Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) from HUD to replace the existing flood-prone ECAT facility damaged during Hurricane Sally in 2020.
