The Trinity River Authority of Texas (TRA), through its Central Regional Wastewater System, is seeking bids for comprehensive analytical laboratory testing services for a three-year period. - Government Buyer: - Trinity River Authority of Texas, Regulatory Services and Compliance Laboratory, Purchasing Department - Scope of Services: - Analytical testing of drinking water, non-potable water, wastewater, and solids/biosolids samples - Testing must be performed by laboratories accredited by the National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (NELAP) or The NELAC Institute (TNI) - Methods must comply with EPA and Standard Methods, as well as Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) standards - Products/Services Requested: - Wide range of analytes and methods, including: - Bromate (EPA 300.1, 25 tests/year) - Bromide (EPA 300.0 or TNI Accredited, 45 tests/year) - PFAS (EPA 533: 65 tests/year; EPA 537.1: 40 tests/year) - Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TX1005, 200 tests/year) - Volatile Organic Compounds (EPA 624.1, 100 tests/year) - Chlorinated Pesticides & PCBs (EPA 608.3, 60 tests/year) - Semivolatile Organic Compounds (EPA 625.1, 60 tests/year) - Mercury (SW846 7471A, 40 tests/year) - Additional analytes: Taste and Odor Compounds, Total Dissolved Solids, Total Organic Carbon, Total Trihalomethanes, % Total Solids, Reactive Cyanide, Reactive Sulfide, Total Phosphorus, Ammonia, Ethylene Glycol - Notable Requirements: - Laboratories must provide sampling kits for certain analytes (e.g., Bromate, PFAS) - Electronic and hard copy reporting required - Sample pick-up and expedited turnaround times may be necessary - All methods and reporting must meet TCEQ Minimum Analytical Levels - No specific OEMs or proprietary products are named; all bidders must be accredited laboratories
Description
The Trinity River Authority of Texas Central Regional Wastewater System is soliciting bids for outside laboratory testing services. The testing involves performing analytical methods by EPA or Standard Methods for Examination of Water and Wastewater on various drinking water, domestic wastewater, and industrial wastewater samples. The laboratory must be NELAC/TNI accredited. The bid term is for three years, starting September 1, 2026, and ending August 31, 2029. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for June 22, 2026.
