Description

In accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Charleston District, has completed an inventory of associated funerary objects. The inventory determined a cultural affiliation between these objects and Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations. The notice details the repatriation process and the cultural connection to the Catawba Indian Nation. Repatriation may occur on or after July 13, 2026.
