Description

Indiana State University (ISU) has completed an inventory of human remains and associated funerary objects in accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). The inventory identified two Native American individuals and seven associated funerary objects, including a fragmented copper kettle and ring fragments. ISU has determined a cultural affiliation between these remains and several Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations. Repatriation of the human remains and associated funerary objects may occur on or after July 13, 2026, with requests for repatriation to be sent to the authorized representative at ISU.
