Description

In accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District, and Michigan State University have completed an inventory of human remains and associated funerary objects. They have determined a cultural affiliation between these remains and objects and Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations. The notice includes details about the human remains of seven individuals and 392 associated funerary objects. Repatriation may occur on or after July 13, 2026, and requests for repatriation must be sent to the authorized representatives.
