This notice concerns the intended disposition of Native American human remains and funerary objects by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District - In coordination with the Department of the Interior and National Park Service - No OEMs or commercial vendors are involved; this is not a procurement or acquisition opportunity - Products/Objects Involved: - Human remains of nine Native American individuals - 41 associated funerary objects, including: - Lots of faunal remains (dog burials) - Bone tool - Antler tines - Fish remains - Beaver tooth - Miscellaneous faunal remains - Unique Requirements: - Disposition is governed by the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA) - The Miami Tribe of Oklahoma has priority for disposition - Claims for disposition may be submitted by lineal descendants, Indian Tribes, or Native Hawaiian organizations - This is a legal and administrative notice regarding repatriation, not a solicitation for goods or services

Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District, intends to carry out the disposition of human remains and associated funerary objects removed from Federal or Tribal lands. The disposition will be made to the lineal descendants, Indian Tribe, or Native Hawaiian organization with priority for disposition as stated in the notice. The human remains represent nine Native American individuals, and 41 associated funerary objects are included. Disposition may occur on or after July 13, 2026, with claims accepted until June 11, 2027.
