Description
The 127 MSC hereby issues a pre-solicitation notice for solicitation W50S8526BA006, a Total Small Business Set-Aside for commercial construction services to repair Hush House concrete at B3857, Project Title VGLZ 262101. This procurement is conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 12, 14, and 36, with an Invitation for Bids (IFB) planned for issuance in the month of July. Classified under Product Service Code (PSC) Z1BD (Maintenance of Airport Runways and Taxiways) and NAICS 237310 (Highway, Runway Construction) with a size standard of $45.0 million, the project magnitude is estimated at less than $1,000,000. The objective of this project is the demolition and replacement of approximately 22,000 square feet of aging Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) pavement at Hush House 3857 and its adjacent approaches. The existing pavement, originally placed in 1983, has exceeded its service life and currently presents a severe Foreign Object Debris (FOD) hazard that poses significant safety risks to personnel and threatens to cause catastrophic damage to aircraft engines, specifically the F-15EX. The scope requires a comprehensive Bid-Build approach to deliver a modernized, unreinforced, airfield-grade PCC surface that meets current military structural and safety standards. All questions or requests for information will be posted to this pre-solicitation notice or incorporated into the solicitation when released.
