Description
Orlando Utilities Commission is soliciting proposals from qualified suppliers to construct an Energy Storage System (ESS) capable of 250 kW of generation for 1-2 hours. The system will be co-located with DC Fast Charging for electric vehicles and must be able to export to the grid following a utility-centric signal and operate a small microgrid during outages. It will provide grid services such as peak shaving, solar smoothing, and Volt/VAR regulation during grid-connected periods and support DCFC systems during outages. Suppliers must indicate if their solution meets the requirements in Attachment D, though non-compliance does not disqualify the response.
