The California Department of Food & Agriculture (CDFA) is seeking a contractor to provide integrated pest management services targeting the Asian Citrus Psyllid (ACP) and other pests in Fresno County, with potential expansion to additional counties. - Government Buyer: - California Department of Food & Agriculture (CDFA) - Citrus Pest and Disease Prevention Division - Office of Grants Administration, Administrative Services Division - OEMs and Vendors: - Bayer (now part of BASF) is the manufacturer of the primary pesticides: Merit 2F, Tempo SC Ultra, and CoreTectTM - Products/Services Requested: - Pesticide application services (foliar and soil) using ground-based equipment, spray trucks, and backpack sprayers - Key pesticides: Merit 2F (EPA 432-1312), Tempo SC Ultra (EPA 432-1363), CoreTectTM (EPA 432-1457) - Spray trucks and equipment (5 units), stand-by spray trucks and backpack sprayers (2 units) - Licensed Pest Control Advisor (PCA) services, training, and emergency response planning - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Contractor must supply all labor, equipment (including specialized equipment for tall trees), materials, and personnel - Stand-by availability for immediate response (24-hour notice) - Compliance with California Department of Pesticide Regulations, including all necessary licenses, permits, and insurance - Daily reporting, equipment calibration, and environmental/safety standards - Pricing is based on per-gallon application of specified pesticides, inclusive of all associated costs - Emergency response plan required prior to treatment activities - Pesticides must be applied at rates set by product labels or special local need (SLN) labels - Contract term is one year, with two one-year option periods for renewal, covering annual cycles of pesticide application and related services
