Description
Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) is seeking proposals for a qualified contractor to develop a comprehensive overview and analysis of marine carbon dioxide removal (mCDR) technologies. The study will assess emerging mCDR techniques, analyze their environmental and ecosystem impacts, and review related regulatory and policy frameworks in Canada and internationally. Deliverables include a literature review, technical and ecological assessment, and policy recommendations to support safe and effective use of mCDR as part of Canada’s climate strategy. The contract duration is approximately 5 months, starting October 27, 2025, with an estimated value up to $350,000 CAD excluding taxes.
