Brunswick County Operation Services is seeking bids for the replacement of two 5,000-gallon aboveground storage tanks (ASTs) at the Tri-Beach Fuel Site in Supply, NC. - Government Buyer: - Brunswick County Operation Services - OEMs and Vendors: - Morrison Brothers (specified as an acceptable OEM for remote fill spill container component) - Products and Equipment Requested: - Two (2) 5,000-gallon aboveground storage tanks (ASTs) for gasoline and diesel - Morrison Brothers 715-TT3-3MB0 Remote Fill Spill Container (acceptable alternate for a specified item) - Concrete tank saddles and pad (2 sets) - Six (6) concrete-filled bumper posts - Schedule 40 painted single wall black steel piping (8 feet) - Tank appurtenances: overfill prevention valves, submersible pumps, vents, product piping, vapor recovery lines, tank fill piping, clock gauges, high-level alarms, pressure relief valves, solenoid valves, and wiring connections to existing FuelMaster system - Services Requested: - Removal and disposal of existing ASTs, piping, dispensers, sumps, and fill lines (including degassing, cleaning, and manifesting of all waste) - Excavation and removal of a portion of the existing concrete tank pad and underground piping transition sump - Installation of new concrete tank footers and surface pad - Setting and installation of new ASTs and all appurtenances - Electrical work for wiring connections to existing systems - Painting of new aboveground piping and fittings - Permit application preparation and submission - One 8-hour day of training for county personnel on new equipment - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Contractor must provide equipment cut sheets and obtain all necessary permits - Reuse of certain existing equipment (dispensers and FuelMaster console) - Alternate remote fill spill container (Morrison Brothers 715-TT3-3MB0) is specifically allowed - Liquidated damages of $500/day for delays beyond 180 days - Minority-owned business participation is encouraged - No performance or payment bonds required unless project exceeds $300,000

Brunswick County is soliciting informal bids for the replacement of two 5,000-gallon aboveground storage tanks located at the Tri-Beach Fuel Site in Supply, NC. The scope includes removal of existing tanks and associated equipment, disposal of residual petroleum and rinse water, excavation and removal of concrete tank pad sections, installation of new concrete tank footers and surface pad, and installation of new tanks with necessary appurtenances.
