Description

The City of Framingham is soliciting sealed bids from qualified contractors to perform repairs and upgrades to the refrigeration system at Loring Ice Arena. The scope of work includes glycol pump rebuilding, replacement of pressure relief valves, ammonia system piping modifications, replacement of isolation valves, ammonia evacuation and recharge services, welding, testing, and all associated labor, materials, equipment, permits, and incidentals necessary to restore the refrigeration system to safe and reliable operation. Contractors must have demonstrated experience with ammonia refrigeration systems and comply with all applicable regulatory requirements. Bids must be submitted electronically via the City's Bidnet Direct portal by July 1, 2026, and a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on June 23, 2026.
