The City of Port Angeles Public Works & Utilities Department is seeking bids for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of two vertical turbine pumps and two motors at its Water Treatment Plant and the Elwha River Ranney Well. - Government Buyer: - City of Port Angeles, Public Works & Utilities Department, Engineering Office - OEMs and Vendors: - TECO Westinghouse (motors) - Fairbanks Morse (vertical turbine pumps) - Products and Services Requested: - Inspection, removal, offsite repair, and reinstallation of: - Two TECO Westinghouse motors (450 HP and 350 HP, Model AEEH-ED, NEMA B, TEFC) - Two Fairbanks Morse vertical turbine pumps (Model 7000AW, Size 18H, 3 Stage) - Pump and motor rebuilds, including replacement of wear parts (bearings, sleeves, packing, wear rings, gaskets) - Motor rewinding if required (separate bid item, subject to City approval) - Replacement parts allowance for damaged or out-of-tolerance components - Mobilization and minor changes as needed - Unique or Notable Requirements: - All work must comply with OEM standards, AWWA standards, NSF-61, and plant safety requirements - EASA-certified motor rebuild shops required - Use of drinking water safe lubricants - Vibration and temperature baseline recording, motor testing, pump inspection, balancing, and performance testing required - Compliance with Washington State prevailing wage rates - Pre-bid site visit required - Strict bid security, performance and payment bond requirements - Contract to be completed within 30 working days after notice to proceed - Estimated contract value: $100,000 to $130,000
