Description
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is granting a temporary exemption from certain security training program requirements for certain Over-The-Road Bus (OTRB) owner/operators providing fixed-route service in support of the FIFA World Cup 2026. This exemption allows covered OTRB owner/operators to operate without submitting a security training program 90 days prior to commencing new or modified operations, which would otherwise be required under 49 CFR parts 1570 and 1584. The exemption applies to services originating, traveling through, or ending in specified geographic locations related to the event. The exemption is effective from June 10, 2026, through July 31, 2026, and aims to facilitate security compliance while supporting the major event.
