Description

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has issued two separate incidental harassment authorizations (IHAs) to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. These authorizations allow the incidental take of marine mammals during the Miller Sands-Rice Island Pile Dike Repairs Project and the Cottonwood Island Pile Dike Replacement Project on the lower Columbia River in Oregon and Washington. Each authorization is effective for one year from the date of notification by the IHA-holder, not to exceed one year from the date of issuance (June 4, 2026).
