Description
The Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) is publishing two general licenses (GLs 5U and 5V) issued pursuant to the Venezuela Sanctions Regulations. These licenses authorize certain transactions related to the Petroleos de Venezuela, S.A. 2020 8.5 Percent Bond that would otherwise be prohibited under the regulations. GL 5U was issued on February 2, 2026, and superseded by GL 5V issued on March 19, 2026. The publication includes links to the full text, XML, PDF, and public inspection versions of the licenses.
