Description
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is issuing an environmental assessment (EA) and a finding of no significant impact (FONSI) for a license amendment request submitted by Holtec Decommissioning International, LLC, to approve the License Termination Plan (LTP), Revision 2 for the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station in New Jersey. The amendment would add a condition to the license reflecting NRC's approval of the LTP and establish criteria for when changes to the LTP require prior NRC approval. The LTP will be used to meet requirements for terminating the license and releasing the site for unrestricted use. The NRC staff concluded there will be no significant environmental impacts from the requested license amendment, making a FONSI appropriate.
