The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) is seeking a contractor for the SR29 Road Modification Project in Hamilton County, Tennessee. - Government Buyer: - Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT), TDOT Reg 2 - District 29 Maintenance - Project Scope: - Widening the exit ramp from SR29 northbound to SR153 at Lane Mile 10.87 - Change from one 16-foot lane and 10-foot left shoulder to two 12-foot lanes and a 10-foot left shoulder - Traffic control services, including provision of devices, signage, and personnel to maintain one lane open at all times - Excavation and pavement removal, including sawcutting, disposal, and preparation for new road base - Road base construction with 8" concrete, 4" TPB, and 4" base stone, compacted and graded - Median improvements on SR153, including new pavement markings, installation of 85' Tuff Curb (10' spacing), and thermoplastic striping - Exit ramp improvements: full-depth pavement replacement, shoulder replacement, and adjustment of turn lane angle to 60 degrees - Traffic signage replacement and installation, including 60"x60" yield signs, stop signs, one-way arrows, "DO NOT ENTER" signs, "WRONG WAY" signs, and advance lane control signs - Site demobilization and restoration, including trash removal, seeding, straw, and installation of snow plowable raised pavement markers - Notable Requirements: - All work must comply with TDOT standards and specifications - One lane of traffic must remain open at all times during construction - Use of barrier rails and anti-skid aggregate in concrete - Compliance with state procurement rules and legal certifications - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; bidders must provide all labor, equipment, materials, and services required - Award will be made to the lowest cost responsive bidder for all line items
