This opportunity is for a comprehensive electrical retrofit at the Mokelumne River Fish Hatchery, managed by the East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD). - Government Buyer: - East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD), Water & Natural Resources Administration - OEMs and Vendors: - Caterpillar (500kW Tier 4 Final Emergency Diesel Generator, Model C18 T4F) - Eaton (Pow-R-Line Xpert Switchboard, or equal) - ASCO (300 Series Automatic Transfer Switch, or equal) - Avtron (250kW Roof Mounted Load Bank) - Products/Services Requested: - Demolition and removal of existing 125kW generator, switchboard, and control panel - Installation of new switchboard (Eaton Pow-R-Line Xpert or equal), ATS (ASCO 300 Series or equal), and control panel (with PLC, Ethernet switch, and accessories) - Installation, testing, and commissioning of District-furnished 500kW Caterpillar generator and 250kW Avtron load bank - Integration with existing 250kW emergency generator for York chillers - All necessary cables, conduits, pull boxes, fiber optic cables, lighting, and related materials - Site preparation, grading, excavation, construction of new reinforced concrete pad, trenching, fence removal/restoration - Commissioning, startup, system integration, and project documentation/closeout - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Major generator and load bank are District-furnished; contractor must receive, install, and commission - Switchboard and ATS must be Eaton and ASCO or approved equals - Extensive commissioning and integration with existing systems, including SCADA/PLC programming - Strict adherence to project schedule and documentation requirements - Proposers must have at least ten years of experience in similar electrical power system projects and possess all required permits and licenses

Description

This solicitation is for the electrical equipment retrofit project at the Mokelumne River Fish Hatchery located at 25800 North McIntire Rd, Clements, CA. The project involves replacing the existing 125 kW emergency generator and switchboard/control panel assembly with new equipment, including a new 500 kW emergency generator and 250 kW load bank furnished by the District. The contractor is responsible for demolition, site preparation, installation, testing, and commissioning of the new electrical system, including switchboard, automatic transfer switch, control panel, cables, conduits, and other materials. Work must be performed between June 1, 2027, and August 30, 2027, with the system operational by August 31, 2027. Proposers must have at least ten years of relevant experience and possess all necessary permits and licenses.
