This opportunity seeks qualified contractors to repair and upgrade parking lot lighting at the Richmond Armed Force Reserve Center (AFRC) in North Chesterfield, VA, for the Department of the Army's 99th Readiness Division. - Government Buyer: - Department of the Army, 99th Readiness Division, Directorate of Public Works, Fort Dix, NJ - Scope of Work: - Remove and dispose of 11 existing solar/wind turbine light poles, batteries, lighting components, enclosures, and concrete bases - Install 11 new 30-foot aluminum light poles (each with two arms) and 24-inch diameter concrete bases (4000 PSI, 48 inches above grade) - Install 22 LED lamps and fixtures (DLC Qualified, 400W MH equivalent) - Trench approximately 1200 linear feet for new electrical conduit and wiring (minimum 1-inch conduit, copper THHN/THWN, 36 inches below grade) - Install automatic dusk-to-dawn lighting controls (11 units) - Provide pole grounding connections per ISO standards - Restore asphalt and turf in disturbed areas - Daily site cleanup and off-site waste disposal with documentation - Technical/Unique Requirements: - All electrical work must comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC) - Work must be supervised by a licensed Master Electrician - All LED fixtures must be on the DesignLights Consortium (DLC) Qualified Product List - Contractors must confirm business size under NAICS 236220 and demonstrate capability to perform all tasks - No specific OEMs or product part numbers are specified; products must meet performance and certification requirements
Description
This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts or request for quotations. The purpose of this Source Sought Notice is to obtain the following information:
(1) The availability and capability of qualified sources;
(2) Whether they are a small or large business relative to their size classification under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for the proposed acquisition 236220- Commercial and Industrial Building Construction with a small business size standard of $45 Million.
Requirement Description:
On behalf of the 99th Readiness Division (RD) the United States Army Contracting Command - New Jersey (ACC-NJ) has a requirement for Construction Project Services CSS#92345, Repair Parking Lot Lights at the Richmond Armed Force Reserve Center (AFRC) in North Chesterfield, Virginia 23234 (Facility VA050). Attached DRAFT Specification of Work for reference. No solicitation document exists at this time. Issuance of this notice does not constitute any obligation on the part of the Government to procure these services or to issue a solicitation. In addition, the Government is under no obligation to pay for information submitted in response to this notice and responses to this notice cannot be accepted as offers.

(4) Capability Statement detailing previous related requirement work (Not to Exceed 2 Pages).
